Upgraded Peace of Mind

Specimen Types: Blood,Urine

Description: The Upgraded Peace of Mind package is similar to the Peace of Mind package with a few additional enhancements. The Herpes 1&2 IgG Immunoblot replaces the Herpes 1&2 IgG ELISA test and the package also includes the Hepatitis A Total (IgM-IgG) test. Turnaround time is typically 1-5 business days. Incubation Period: The incubation period varies per test. (Please refer to individual test descriptions for specific incubation periods.)

Requirements: Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are urine tests. Client should withhold urination for at least 1-2 hours prior to specimen collection. Client should provide a first catch of urine, about 20-30 ml, from the initial stream into the collection cup and allow remainder of the stream to go into the toilet. Larger volumes may result in the dilution of the specimen and reduce sensitivity. Clients should not cleanse the genital area 1-2 hours prior to giving their urine specimen.
