Mushrooms Urine Drug Test

Psilocin, Shrooms, Magic Mushrooms

Specimen Type: Urine

Description:

Mushrooms Urine Drug Test

The Mushrooms Urine Drug Test test is used to determine if a person has recently had Psilocin in their system.  Psilocin is a psychedelic compound found in a number of species of mushrooms.  These types of mushrooms also contain the substance Psilocybin which is converted into Psilocin in the liver.  When used as a recreational drug, mushrooms are ingested to produce altered perceptions or hallucinations.  Use of mushrooms can also cause nausea, paranoia, anxiety and flashback episodes long after the drug is taken.

Psilocin is typically detectable from 1-3 days after use in urine but the detection period may vary for each person depending on a number of factors such as their metabolism and how much they took.  If the initial test detects anything, confirmation testing will be performed at no additional cost.

The turnaround for this test is typically 7-12 business days but may take longer if confirmation testing is necessary.

For additional drug testing options, please see our Drug Testing Category.

At this time, Request A Test does not offer DOT (Department of Transportation) certified testing.

Note: Result turn around times are an estimate and are not guaranteed. Our reference lab may need additional time due to weather, holidays, confirmation/repeat testing, or equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

Please note that not all lab locations are able to perform the collections for urine drug testing.  When placing a testing order online you will only be able to select from lab locations which are able to perform this type of testing.

It is recommended that the specimen for this test be collected Monday-Thursday to help avoid delays in transport which may result in the specimen no longer being valid.

This test is intended to screen for drugs of abuse and is not appropriate for pain management or therapeutic monitoring.  Customers who require pain management testing should consult their prescribing physician.
