Pet Allergy Test
This panel includes blood tests for cat and dog allergies. These tests look for IgE antibodies to help determine if a person has an allergic reaction to dog and cat hair or dander (dead skin flakes). About 5-10% of Americans have pet allergies. Common allergy symptoms include irritated or watery eyes, sneezing, congestion, and hives or rash. For people with Asthma the reaction can be more severe. Depending on the severity of their reaction, people with allergies may need to remove the source of the allergens from their living space entirely.
