9 Panel Saliva (Oral Fluid) Drug Test

Screen with Confirmation, Oral Fluid

Specimen Type: Saliva

Description:

9 Panel Saliva (Oral Fluid) Drug Test

This test looks for common drugs of abuse in an oral fluid sample.  Saliva drug testing is useful for determining if someone has recently had drugs in their system.  Most drugs can be detected in saliva less than an hour after use.  They will typically remain detectable for 5-48 hours depending on how much was taken and how the drug was administered.

This testing panel contains:

  • Amphetamines (including Methamphetamine)
  • Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Cocaine
  • Marijuana
  • Methadone
  • Opiates (Codeine, Morphine, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone)
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)
  • Propoxyphene

You will receive a specimen collection device and instructions at the lab.  Testing will include an initial screening with confirmatory testing performed if something is detected.  In the event of a positive result, you will be contacted by a medical review officer (MRO) to go over any medications you may be taking.  The draw site where the specimen is collected will not be able to take any documentation regarding your prescription medication.  Please be prepared to submit documentation such as a copy of your prescription label to the MRO in the event that you are contacted.

Turnaround is typically 1-3 business days for negative results.  If confirmatory testing is necessary, results may take up to 5-9 business days.

At this time, Request A Test does not offer DOT (Department of Transportation) certified testing.

Note: Result turn around times are an estimate and are not guaranteed. Our reference lab may need additional time due to weather, holidays, confirmation/repeat testing, or equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

It is recommended that you call your selected lab location prior to going in for your specimen collection to ensure they have the necessary collection kit in stock.

Do not eat or drink anything for at least 10 minutes prior to submitting your sample.

This test is intended to screen for drugs of abuse and is not appropriate for pain management or therapeutic monitoring.  Customers who require pain management testing should consult their prescribing physician.
