Ketamine Urine Drug Test
Specimen Type: Urine
Ketamine Urine Drug Test (Labcorp)
This test measures levels of the drug Ketamine in the urine. Ketamine is primarily used as an anesthetic for hospital patients but recently it has also been useful in treating mental health conditions such as depression and OCD. Taken recreationally, Ketamine produces a high with psychedelic or hallucinatory effects. The risk of an overdose when taking Ketamine is high and it can lead to severe complications such as heart attack, aneurysm, dementia, kidney failure, and blindness. Standard drug testing panels are not typically designed to detect Ketamine so specialized testing is necessary. The detection time of Ketamine in urine can vary from 2-4 days up to several weeks depending on how much a person has taken.
Turnaround time for this test is typically 3-5 business days but may be longer if additional testing is required.
