Alcohol EtG Hair Follicle Test
The Alcohol EtG Hair Follicle test looks for Ethyl Glucuronide, a metabolite of alcohol. Hair drug testing can typically detect alcohol use up to 90 days in the past. It may take 7-10 days for consumption to be detectable in hair. This test provides an initial screening with confirmatory testing on any positive results at no additional cost. A positive confirmatory test will provide numerical results.
A Urine Alcohol EtG test is also available for customers who do not require the longer detection period provided by hair testing.
Turnaround time is typically up to 7 business days. Additional time may be needed for confirmatory testing.

Requirements:
NOTE: ETG testing cannot be run on the same sample as any other hair drug testing. If an ETG test is ordered with another hair drug test, the lab will need to collect separate samples.
Hair must be at least 1.5-2 inches in length. Hair will be collected from the top of the head only. The lab will be required to take a sample of at least 200 strands.
Please note that not all lab locations are able to perform the collections for hair drug testing. When placing a testing order online you will only be able to select from lab locations that are able to perform this type of testing.
