Chlamydia, Gonorrhea & Trichomonas Urine Test (Labcorp)
This package includes urine screenings for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomonas (Trich). These screenings look for bacterial or parasitic infections in the genital area only. These three infections are all typically spread through sexual contact. While they often display no symptoms, some people may experience itching or pain in the genital area, burning during urination, or abnormal discharge. Because they are often asymptomatic, and the symptoms they display are very similar to each other, these STDs can be difficult to diagnose without being tested.

STD testing is recommended for anyone who is sexually active, especially if they are experiencing symptoms that are indicative of infection. Pregnant women are advised to get STD testing to avoid health complications for their infants.

Detection Period:
In some people, these tests may be detectable as early as a few days after a suspected exposure. The majority of people will typically be detectable at around 3 weeks after a potential exposure.
Requirements:
For the highest level of accuracy:
- Refrain from urinating for at least one hour prior to collection.
- Avoid cleansing the genital area at least one hour prior to collection.
- The sample should be a "first catch" of urine, meaning customers should begin urinating directly into the collection container.
- Fill the specimen cup approximately 20-30 ml. Overfilling the container will dilute the specimen and may reduce the accuracy of the test.
