What is Isocyanate TDI?
This test looks for an allergic reaction to Isocyanate TDI. Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is a chemical used in a number of industrial settings. It is used in the production of polyurethanes as well as products such as coatings, elastomers, adhesives, and sealants.
What are the symptoms of Isocyanate TDI allergy?
Some people who are exposed to Isocyanate TDI can develop an allergic reaction. The most common symptom of an allergic reaction is an asthma-like reaction resulting in coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest. Other symptoms include eye irritation, an itchy red skin rash, a runny nose, and a sore throat.
