What are Chlamydia and Gonorrhea?
Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are bacterial sexually transmitted infections (STIs). They are commonly spread through sexual contact. Many cases of chlamydia or gonorrhea cause no symptoms. Some people will experience painful urination or genital discharge. Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are curable with Antibiotics. If left untreated, they can lead to complications including infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Collection Instructions:
The lab attendant will provide a collection kit. Please review specimen collection instructions with lab personnel.
- Wash your hands with soap and water prior to collecting the specimen.
- Twist and pull the cap to remove the FLOQSwab from the plastic sleeve.
- Hold the FLOQSwab at the red mark.
- Standing in a comfortable position, use the free hand to spread the skin of the vaginal opening, while carefully inserting the swab up to the red mark.
- Gently rotate the swab for 10-30 seconds.
- Place the swab back into the tube until you hear a CLICK. After collection, hand the swab to a lab attendant for processing. Wash your hands with soap and water.
