Description:

Ultimate Heart Health Panel

The Ultimate Heart Health Panel includes five tests that provide an in-depth and comprehensive view of total heart health.  These tests may be used to determine increased risk for cardiovascular disease, heart attack or stroke.

This package includes:

  • NMR LipoProfile
  • C-Reactive Protein, High Sensitivity
  • Homocysteine
  • Lipoprotein (a)
  • Hemoglobin A1C with eAG

The NMR Lipoprofile is an in-depth cholesterol screening which measures Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, Insulin Markers, Lipoprotein Particle Number and Size, and Lipoprotein Subfractions.  A CRP High Sensitivity test measures a protein which can be a risk factor for events like a heart attack or stroke.  Elevated Homocysteine levels can increase the risk of blood clots as well as heart attack or stroke. Lipoprotein (a) is an inherited risk factor for heart disease.  Hemoglobin A1C measures glucose (sugar) in the blood over the past 2-3 months.

Turnaround time for the Ultimate Heart Health Profile is typically 2-5 business days.

Requirements:

The Ultimate Heart Health Panel requires fasting 12-14 hours prior to going in for blood collection.

Intake of alcohol, aspirin, niacin and estrogen supplements have the potential of causing a misrepresentation of true LP(a) concentrations.

Oral contraceptives, IUDs, pregnancy, and menstruation may raise hs-CRP levels.  Levels are lowest during ovulation.
