Description:
Celiac Disease Complete Panel (Labcorp)
This Celiac Disease testing package looks for antibodies which typically develop in patients with Celiac Disease. This package includes:
- Deamidated Gliadin Antibody IgA
- Deamidated Gliadin Antibody IgG
- Tissue Transglutaminase IgA
- Tissue Transglutaminase IgG
- Serum IgA Quantification
An IgA quantification can help determine if someone had a condition which results in an IgA antibody deficiency. People with this condition may show false negatives on IgA antibody tests. In this case, the results of IgG antibody tests will be more accurate.
Celiac testing is advisable for patients who are experiencing symptoms associated with Celiac Disease or are aware of family members who have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease.
This package contains multiple tests to provide a comprehensive screening for Celiac Disease. Confirmation of positive results can be done through an Endomysial Antibody IgA or Celiac Genetic Test.
A final diagnosis of Celiac Disease should be confirmed by a doctor and may require an intestinal biopsy. For more information about Celiac Disease Testing, please visit the Celiac Disease Foundation at www.celiac.org.
Turnaround time for the Celiac Disease Complete Panel is typically 1-3 business days.
